UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST ASSOCIATION & JOSEPH PRIESTLY DISTRICT

From 1999-2007 I was honored to be elected by the congregations of the Joseph Priestly District to be their Trustee on the UUA Board of Trustees.  During those 8 years, I served on both Boards, and in a number of capacities at the request of the Board leadership.

I was pleased to be asked to represent the Board

- in anti-racism efforts (Journey Towards Wholeness) learning and teaching with leaders from across the denomination

- on the Ministerial Fellowship Committee, setting standards and interviewing candidates for our ministry

- in reviewing the work of the Commission on Social Witness, bring congregational concerns into an association-wide conversation at General Assembly

- in learning and leading good governance practices. For both the JPD and the UUA Board, and sharing learnings in workshops for congregations

Following my service on the Boards, I continued to say “yes” to requests from the UUA, notably offering my skills as a member of the RE Credentialing Committee, and as a member of the UUA Moderator Nominating Committee.
