SOCIAL JUSTICE

I have worked with two congregations to build on their historic interests for justice, and to develop new areas of concern and focus.  I encourage people to consider the 5 elements of a good justice ministry – SEWAC – service, education, witness, advocacy, and community building.   
My role as minister is to encourage people to learn the skills to carry out any or all of those realms of justice, and to provide either leadership or support as needed.  I have no personal “pet” causes, but rather believe in nurturing the fires of commitment where they are.

"We are always heartened by your activist ministries.  Once, our family was driving in our car listening to WTOP when we heard a familiar voice advocating for marriage equality.  Emma and Matthias exclaimed together, "That's Reverend Linda! It's Reverend Linda!"
