GREATER WASHINGTON AREA RELIGIOUS EDUCATION COUNCIL
& LIBERAL RELIGIOUS EDUCATION ASSOCIATION

The greater Washington Area RE Council is a historic and influential group of DC-region religious educators.  Being a part of that group nurtured my own professional and spiritual development, and offered me positions of leadership – notably Program Coordinator and President.

LREDA (Liberal Religious Education Association) is the international professional organization which offered me many continuing education opportunities as well as leadership positions.  I chaired the historic Fahs Lecture committee (which funds, selects, and presents notable speakers at GA each year), served on the LREDA Endowment Committee and the Nominating Committee.  When LREDA celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 1999, I was honored to be a member of the committee organizing a year of special events.
