NURTURING LEADERS, BUILDING STRONG TEAMS, AND GROWING PROGRAMS

I have been a community organizer most of my adult life:

Encouraging and coaching expectant and new parents about childbirth and breastfeeding, and  positive ways of developing children  in cooperative preschools.

Bringing together adults and youth, to run a community theater and work together to put on high quality performances.

Hiring and supervising 50 to 60 counselors and teachers, developing programs for summer camps, delegating and supporting people in their roles.

In congregations I have guided youth and adults in learning how to be effective religious educators, and how to work together in teams and partnering with the children and their families.  I have trained pastoral care associates, small group facilitators, sexuality educators, and many others to carry out the ministry of the church.

In the community, I have built a large and vibrant interfaith organization and supported hundreds of people to acquire the skills and the confidence to organize and act for justice.
